If you'd rather not arrange a collection from us, there's now another way to get a jar. Our honey is on the cart outside Home Farm Café at Parke, just outside Bovey Tracey. It's the wooden stall by the café door, with the bee sign. Jars are £10, and you pay at the café till.
Why Home Farm Café
Home Farm Café sits in the stone farm buildings on the Parke estate, the National Trust land where the River Bovey runs down off Dartmoor. For years it's been the place to warm up after a walk by the river, and it's become one of our favourite places to stop.
It's run by Ben and Char, who met working together in Brighton and moved to Devon with their two children to bring them up here. Ben has spent years managing hospitality venues, and Char is the cook. She taught herself, and it shows in the best way: the menu changes every day, built around whatever's good from Devon farms that week, with a love of Middle Eastern and North African flavours running through it.
The classics are all still there too. There's a proper cream tea with fresh home-made scones, a cheese tea for the savoury-minded, a board of the day's cakes, and good coffee roasted in Devon by Voyager. Brunch runs until noon and lunch until three. Dogs are welcome outside and in the Long Room, so muddy walkers of every kind are covered.

We couldn't have asked for better neighbours on the cart, either: handmade local ceramics, bunches of freshly picked flowers from The Dartmoor Artist, and a children's book about a busy bumblebee. It's a lovely little shelf of things made nearby.
Finding it
Home Farm Café, Parke, Bovey Tracey, Devon TQ13 9JQ. Open every day, 10am to 5pm in summer and 10am to 4pm in winter. Parking is in the National Trust car park at Parke.
Jars on the cart come from the same summer harvest as the ones you can reserve here, so whichever way suits you, it's the same honey. The cart has its own stock, so if the jars online sell out, it's worth checking the cart.
Thank you, Ben and Char, for having us.
